PROJECT
NAME: PRIVATE CLIENT
Frank Galliers Ltd.
Craig Hamilton.
Restoration and new build at a listed residence.
Forest of Dean and Callow Hill and Portland.
The requirement to source and fabricate the desired materials to
meet the exacting needs of
the client was an imperative feature of the success of this distinguished
project.
Sympathetic restoration and intricate new build demanded an integrated
project management
programme that combined the manufacture of the previously proposed
portico and the
replication of original 18th century architecture.
The main house featured grandiose carved acroteria and urns, awe-inspiring
carved features,
kitchen and library extension, elevations incorporating a paved
loggia and Doric columns.
A new build south wing extension, collonaded cloister garden and
swimming pool pavilion
completed this prestigious and celebrated project.
“Meister Masonry were able to source and deliver the requisite
Forest of Dean and Callow Hill material needs specific to the architectural
and client brief”.

PROJECT NAME: PRIVATE CLIENT
Meister Masonry.
Complete internal and external refurbishment including full internal
plumbing and landscaping.
Elm Park.
Mr. and Mrs. James McCarthy.
The brief for this project was to transform what was originally
a 1960’s bungalow into a 21st
century home that, whilst encompassing the latest technology, complemented
a beautiful setting
with panoramic views. The exterior was upgraded with the decoration
of stone mullion windows
and double glazed bronze casements. Whilst this had a dramatic impact
on the original house,
Meister then proposed and were accepted, approval to change the
two front hipped roofs to
gable ends incorporating corbels, kneelers and parapet. With the
addition of the entrance portico,
the exterior transformation was completed using lime render. A new
stone surround to swimming
pool and paving was also created.
As project managers, we were responsible for the supply and fixing
of the building throughout
and installation of state-of-the-art bathrooms using Villeroy and
Boch sanitary ware.
All lighting, computers and plasma screens were installed into a
central server-driven system
with full integration throughout the house. The flooring incorporated
electric underfloor heating
and French refined limestone flooring with cabouchons.
The landscaping included new terracing, retaining walls to panoramic
viewpoint.
A new gated entrance and staff quarters complemented a most satisfactory
transformation.
“An incredible transformation that exceeded our expectations.”
- Jim McCarthy
